Condor Airlines will offer a new, non-stop air service between Edmonton International Airport (EIA) and Frankfurt, Germany, with a world of travel options for the Edmonton Metropolitan Region.

Flights to Frankfurt from Edmonton start June 1, 2020 and will operate twice a week, Monday and Thursday for the summer season. Condor will operate a 259 seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft for the route. Condor has more than 15 airline partners that provide seamless flight connections and reservations via Frankfurt.

The new route also provides an excellent option for international visitors to come to visit Edmonton to access the region’s incredible tourism and business offerings. These include Indigenous experiences, farm to table choices, and our summer festivals, as well as global-scale technology, medical and energy sector clusters.

"Frankfurt has been one of the most sought-after destinations from our community. Condor’s network, in conjunction with their partners, offers tremendous access into Europe. We’re also thrilled to welcome more tourists and pathways into Edmonton and Alberta just in time for our long summer nights. Welcome to Edmonton, Condor!’

“Direct, non-stop access to Frankfurt – and by extension, continental Europe – is a huge win that will see benefits across all sectors here in Alberta. The addition of this new route will help entice new visitors to come see the splendor of our province, while giving Alberta businesses quick access to new markets. I’m also excited for the potential for investors to take advantage of direct flights to see firsthand why Alberta is the best place in the world to invest and grow a business.”
