Ideagen A Special Guest at Cobalt Air Launch

July 1, 2016

Ideagen were honoured to be specially invited guests at the official launch of Cobalt Air, Cyprus’ new low cost national airline.

The event, held in London’s Paddington Hilton hotel, was hosted following the airline being successfully awarded its Operating Licence by the Air Transport Licensing Authority of Cyprus and its Air Operator Certificate from the country’s Department of Civil Aviation.

Cobalt Air has ambitious plans to connect European points with the Middle East, Africa and Asia, through its Larnaca home base.

The airline will adopt Ideagen’s Q-Pulse safety management software, in order to control and manage its compliance, risk management and electronic documentation systems.

Ideagen’s CEO David Hornsby, who attended the event, said it was a “great honour” to be part of the birth of a new airline. He added: “This is an extremely exciting project for Ideagen.

“We are delighted to be playing a huge part in Cobalt Air’s journey and extremely honoured to have been invited to the company’s wonderful launch event.

“I speak on behalf of everyone at Ideagen when I say that we are looking forward to working closely with Cobalt and supporting their goal of becoming a key low cost air carrier for Europe and further afield.”

Andrew Pyne, Cobalt Air’s CEO added, “Safety and security are key and current concerns for the travelling public. Our aim has been to develop a structure and a management system that puts safety at the core of everything that we do as an airline and we are delighted to be working with Ideagen and its Q-Pulse software to achieve those goals.”
