Vienna — Lufthansa subsidiary Austrian Airlines has cancelled over 100 flights on Tuesday - because of a company meeting.

Difficult wage negotiations have prompted a big assembly of pilots and cabin crew, the company said, with unions unsure how long the meeting will last.

Vienna airport said flights to Germany, including Berlin, were among those affected. On Monday, many flights out of Germany were cancelled due to strikes there.

At the start of March, Austrian Airlines cabin crew went on strike for several hours. Last Friday, management made public an offer of an average 12.3% salary increase. Unions will discuss the offer with staff on Tuesday.
