Rome — People travelling to or from Italy are likely to face delays and cancellations on Friday due to a strike by staff working for Italian air traffic control company Enav.

The industrial action will affect several airlines. Enav says airports in Rome, Milan Malpensa and Venice are among those hit by the strike.

The industrial action is part of a dispute between Enav and several trade union confederations. The negotiations are about the organization of work shifts and contract extensions for workers, among other issues.
