The airline plans to gradually return to its regular flight timetable, which was suspended in mid-March. The ramp-up period will depend on the development of the coronavirus pandemic in Poland.

Warsaw (dpa) - Poland's flagship airline LOT will resume some domestic flights as of June 1, the airline said on Monday.

The airline plans to gradually return to its regular flight timetable, which was suspended in mid-March. The ramp-up period will depend on the development of the coronavirus pandemic in Poland, the firm said.

As of June 1, passengers will be able to fly from Warsaw to seven cities in the country as well as between Gdansk and Krakow, a total of 30 flights per day.

At the same time, the airline cancelled all international flights until June 14.

LOT had earlier said it would suspend all flights until the end of May. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Poland had suspended all international air travel until May 23.
