Man Finds Himself Only Passenger on Southwest Airlines Flight from Ft. Lauderdale to St. Louis
It’s probably not the best time to be traveling, but if you’re going to take a flight, it’s hard to beat Bob Pitts’ latest experience.
Pitts took a Southwest Airlines flight from Ft. Lauderdale to St. Louis Thursday and he got first-class treatment with an economy ticket, according to an NBCNews.com report.
How’d he pull that off?
He was the only passenger on the plane.
Pitts recorded parts of the flight on his phone which showed him speaking to a flight attendant who was speaking to the pilots.
"Thanks for coming along with us," the flight attendant joked with him. "I want to make sure we show you some of this Southwest hospitality. So when you land, you're going to take out that flip phone your grandma bought you for Christmas. You're going to call her. You're going to tell her, 'This was my best flight ever.' Welcome aboard, Bob."
While Pitts’ experience was rare, air travel is down during the coronavirus shutdown.
