With features like stability augmentation, the system dramatically reduces pilot workload while providing precise control during all phases of flight regardless of wind conditions or shifts in the helicopter’s weight.

Louisville, KY (February 29, 2016) –– Genesys Aerosystems (Heli-Expo booth #806) announced today that helicopter MRO and completion facility, Wysong Enterprises has recently sold and installed their 50th Helicopter Stability Augmentation System and Two-Axis Autopilot (HeliSAS). The milestone HeliSAS was installed in an Airbus EC130 helicopter operated by Memphis Medical Center.

“As great as any product is, it cannot reach any level of sustained success unless it has earned the confidence of industry leaders like Steve and Rodney Wysong and everyone at Wysong Enterprises,” Jamie Luster, Director of Sales and Marketing for Genesys Aerosystems said. “The company is well known throughout the helicopter industry as one that puts operator safety as its number one priority. To have them put so much confidence in what HeliSAS can do to reduce pilot workload and improve helicopter safety is a true testament to their belief in the benefits it brings their customers.”

“The popularity of the various programs that we are involved in gives me a lot of satisfaction knowing that the systems we install are factors in saving lives and keeping safe environments for our and our customers’ families,” stated company President and Founder, Steve Wysong. “Whether they are private, EMS (Emergency Medical Services), ENG (Electronic News Gathering) helicopters, providing them with the stability augmentation system found in HeliSAS makes us all feel good knowing that these aircraft are now safer for their pilots and passengers today than they were when the helicopters left their manufacturer’s factory.”

About the HeliSAS Helicopter Stability Augmentation System and Autopilot

HeliSAS sets a new standard for helicopter safety and productivity. With features like stability augmentation, the system dramatically reduces pilot workload while providing precise control during all phases of flight regardless of wind conditions or shifts in the helicopter’s weight. In addition, the HeliSAS attitude stabilization and force feel features enhance the helicopter’s handling characteristics to mitigate inadvertent cyclic control inputs that could result in dangerous attitudes or loss of control.
