Research and development along with innovation, technology and digitization are thus essential areas of business for FACC in order to supply optimum products and services worldwide. Owing to this consistent approach, FACC has developed into a leading technology partner and systems supplier for the entire aircraft industry over the past 30 years. The company boasts a research quota of 10 percent and currently holds more than 300 patents for technology solutions.

"Today, our products and systems are represented on board all well-known passenger aircraft models worldwide. This will allow us to act from a position of strength and consistently work towards providing ever better product and system solutions - for aviation that is even more efficient, safe, sustainable and comfortable," says Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC AG, describing the company's approach and adding: "We are thereby actively shaping the mobility of the future and are leading the way in innovation areas such as Urban Air Mobility!”

Award-winning research and development

This year for the first time, the business magazine trend and the Austrian Society for Consumer Studies (ÖGVS) put the spotlight on companies with an above-average number of new patent applications, honoring their achievements with the Innovation Award. FACC currently holds 370 patents and divisional applications in numerous countries. Due to the large number of points awarded as a result, the aerospace group has now been presented with the special prize in the category "Aircraft, Aviation, Aerospace". "We are delighted to receive this top-class award. It is both praise and an incentive for us to consistently pursue our research and development work. We are committed to Austria as an R&D location, from where we will continue to promote the individual mobility of the future," stresses Machtlinger.
