Along with its parent company location in Ried, Austria, FACC Solutions (FSI) is one of only two locations worldwide certified to upgrade Aviation Partners’ Blended Winglet to the Split Scimitar Winglet (SSW) configuration.

Wichita, KS, April 5, 2016 - FACC Solutions Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of FACC Operations GmbH, Austria, today announced the completion of its 1000th Winglet Modification and Upgrade for Boeing 737NG Blended Winglets to New Split Scimitar Winglet configuration.

Along with its parent company location in Ried, Austria, FACC Solutions (FSI) is one of only two locations worldwide certified to upgrade Aviation Partners’ Blended Winglet to the Split Scimitar Winglet (SSW) configuration.  Founded in 1999, FSI has been servicing and supporting FACC’s products in the United States. In 2014, FSI obtained FAA Part 145 certification and opened its Component Repair Station specializing in Winglet repair, upgrade and modification.

In March of that year FSI completed its first Blended Winglet conversion to the SSW- configuration. FSI has subsequently developed expertise in substructure repair and configuration upgrades – especially conversions to LED lighting.  Turn times for the modification and upgrades with final Airline Top Coat Livery are typically under nine days.

As a Winglet specialist, FSI has recently added additional models to their FAA approved capabilities list. These include Airbus A320 Sharklets, A350 XWB Wingtips, Boeing 737 Classic, 757, and 767 Winglets as well as Falcon and Hawker Winglet models. Working together with FACC’s Design Organization, the company is authorized to independently develop and approve design solutions for repairs.

"We are really proud of the team coming from a startup to completing our 1000th Split Scimitar Winglet modification. It’s been a great challenge but a very satisfying one. We look forward to the next 1000", said Dean Poor, President of FACC Solutions Inc. Robert Machtlinger, Chief Operating Officer, FACC stated: “We are pleased to continue the longstanding partnership with Aviation Partners Boeing, adding this SSW modification program to our long line of collaborations. This program also continues our strategy of extending FACC’s value proposition to include repair and maintenance in FACC’s service portfolio for a life cycle provider to OEM’s as well as Operators.”
