Aug. 10—PORT CLINTON — EAA Tin Goose Chapter 1247 is holding its annual "Restore the Ford" Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, Aug. 14, inside the main hangar at Liberty Aviation Museum, 3515 E. State Road in Port Clinton.

This event will be held from 8 a.m to noon and 100% of the proceeds will be used toward the on-going restoration of their 1929 Ford Tri-Motor aircraft, which can be seen up close for those who tour the museum.

Breakfast includes coffee, orange juice, sausage and all-you-can-eat pancakes. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. (Age 5 and under are free).

Also on hand will be a 50/50 raffle, Ford Tri-Motor souvenirs and, weather permitting, "Young Eagles" introductory airplane rides for youth age 8 to 17.

These airplane rides are free and are provided by EAA volunteers who donate their time and aircraft in order to introduce a whole new generation to the world of aviation.

"This event is a great opportunity for everyone to support a good cause, enjoy a great breakfast and discover everything that Liberty Aviation Museum and our local airport facility have to offer," said Lisa Benjamin, president of EAA Chapter 1247.
