Pilot Injured After Plane Owned by Michigan Company Crashes at Wisconsin Airport
RHINELANDER, WI – One person was injured when a single-engine plane owned by a Michigan company crashed at a Wisconsin airport.
The Associated Press reports that the single-engine Cessna 208 Caravan crashed, flipped over and came to rest between a taxiway and a runway at Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport on around 8:15 a.m. on Thursday morning.
WJFW-TV reports airport director Matthew Leitner says the plane belongs to CSA Air, which is based in the Upper Peninsula city of Kingsford.
The lone occupant of the plane suffered a head injury and was taken to a local hospital, according to the Associated Press. The plane had been contracted by through FedEx, according to the TV station.
The airport is closed until further notice.
