STS Aviation Group Acquires CHJ Aircraft Maintenance Inc.

Jensen Beach, November 9, 2015 – STS Aviation Group, an industry leader in aerospace staffing, line maintenance services, engineering solutions and aircraft component distribution, acquires the assets and employees of CHJ Aircraft Maintenance Inc., a Michigan-based company that provides line maintenance services for major commercial and regional airlines operating out of Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW).
 
CHJ Aircraft Maintenance is now a part of STS Line Maintenance, and DTW becomes the thirteenth line maintenance station in the STS network. It will continue to uphold STS Line Maintenance’s capabilities of performing overnight maintenance checks, providing DER (Direct Engineering Representative) support and disseminating AOG (Aircraft on Ground) response teams.

All local DTW employees are now STS Line Maintenance employees. CHJ’s President, Chad Truskowski, has also come on board and has accepted a positon with STS as its newest Manager of Business Development. Truskowski’s leadership will allow for the swift and efficient integration of this new station.

The acquisition of CHJ Aircraft Maintenance Inc. was made official on October 30, 2015. The station is already operational as STS Line Maintenance at DTW airport.
