Norse Atlantic Airways, the new long haul low cost airline, with the headquarter in Norway, has selected AFI KLM E&M’s component support services for Boeing 787 aircraft.

Norse Atlantic Airways has selected AFI KLM E&M to accompany the launch of its debut operations. The Norwegian airline made its maiden flight in June 2022, and has engaged the MRO provider’s component support services for its 12-aircraft fleet of Boeing 787s. The solutions package put together by AFI KLM E&M includes flight-hour repairs, access to a spare parts pool and a Main Base Kit, logistical assistance services, and the use of the Prognos predictive maintenance solutions.

The move sees Norse Atlantic Airways joining AFI KLM E&M’s community of 787 operators from all over the world, who rely on its dedicated, expert services for new-generation long-haul aircraft. AFI KLM E&M has developed a service package that reflects the precise needs of Norse Atlantic Airways, allowing the airline to benefit from solutions with proven technical prowess. These economically competitive solutions are also adapted to the airline’s objectives, and focused on optimal component availability as initial operations get underway.

Pierre Teboul, SVP Commercial at AFI KLM E&M, said: “We’re happy to welcome Norse Atlantic Airways into our growing family of 787 operator clients, and to support them during this operational launch period. We hope that the efficiency of the services we provide will serve as a cornerstone of this dynamic airline’s ambitions and development.”

Thom-Arne Norheim, chief operations officer Norse Atlantic Airways, added: “Through its experience and profile as an Airline-MRO, AFI KLM E&M offers comprehensive expertise in the 787 product. Many operators with global influence have already employed their services, and we have every faith in their ability to operate as a reliable and robust MRO partner.”
