Barfield Inc., a subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) in the Americas, now offers an OEM repair solution supported by Honeywell for Boeing 737 and Boeing 777 Display Units, stemming from a signed agreement between the two companies. The repair solution will offer great cost reduction over replacements with proven reliability track record.
“This new repair solution is a testament of the great partnership we have built with Honeywell and will allow us to further develop our collaboration in the years to come. It is crucial for us to continue to search for cost-saving solutions for our customers, especially in today’s environment where inflation and part shortages are prevalent. Repairing 737 and 777 displays is also only fitting in our strategy to expand on our 737 capabilities given the number of 737’s flying in the Americas,” said Hervé Page, Barfield Chief Executive Officer.
“We are excited to strengthen our relationship with Barfield Inc and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) to support customers when - and where - they need us the most. This agreement reflects our commitment to partnering with local service providers around the world to provide efficient solutions to reduce customers’ downtime,” said Aileen McDowall, Honeywell’s Vice President for Airlines Aftermarket Sales in EMEA.
This readily available cost-saving repair solution involves four main part numbers that customers can send to Barfield with no reliability impact per the agreement, which also highlights Honeywell’s commitment to discussing the development of additional 737 capabilities including but not limited to Flight Control Computers, Control Panels and Display III.
