The Icelandic airline Eagle Air and the German aircraft manufacturer Deutsche Aircraft have announced a renewal of their support contract for maintenance repair and operations.

The Icelandic airline Eagle Air and the German aircraft manufacturer Deutsche Aircraft have announced a renewal of their support contract for maintenance repair and operations. Deutsche Aircraft will continue to provide maintenance for the Do 328-110 of Eagle Air. The companies have already had a similar agreement running since February 2020. The contract renewal will span another two years.

The Scandinavian multi role airline has been using a Do 328 turboprop since the summer of 2018. It is mainly used for passenger transport within the island. The manufacturer will conduct the maintenance procedures at the Deutsche Aircraft facilities at Oberpfaffenhofen airport near Munich.

“As we operate our Do 328 on a variety of missions within Iceland, we need a reliable maintenance service provider to guarantee operational readiness of the flagship of our fleet. Over the last two years Deutsche Aircraft has proven to be that partner. We are happy to extend the maintenance contract for a further two years,” says Björn S Eggertsson, Technical Manger Eagle Air.

Dave Jackson, Managing Director of Deutsche Aircraft adds: “We have supported Eagle Air with the maintenance since their 50-year-anniversary as an airline in 2020. We are proud to keep working with a reliable and professional business partner. “
