Indonesia’s PT Garuda Maintenance Facility AeroAsia (GMF AeroAsia) and CFM International today signed a Material Service Agreement.
Together with this Materials contract, the current CFM56-7B license agreement for overhaul has been extended for an additional five years and a new five-year license for CFM56-5B overhauls added.
"This marks the continuation of a very successful relationship between CFM and GMF AeroAsia. This agreement will help enhance GMF engine maintenance capability and take it to the next level,” said Alan Kelly, Vice President of Services for CFM International
Garuda Indonesia and its LCC subsidiary Citilink, operates a fleet of more than 120 CFM56-powered aircraft.
In mid-2018, with CFM advisory support, GMF AeroAsia increased its capability to perform ‘piece part’ overhaul, as well as adding CFM56-5B overhaul capability.
