18 July 2018; Farnborough, UK: ExecuJet has today signed a contract with Malaysian Airports at the Farnborough International Airshow to establish a new Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility within Subang Airport, Malaysia.

ExecuJet is currently the largest MRO in Malaysia for business aircraft operating in Subang Airport from an existing hangar and office facility measuring approximately 64,000 square feet.

The upcoming development, known as Malaysia Airports’ Subang Airport Regeneration initiative, is an exercise to revitalise the Subang Airport ecosystem, where Subang Airport is envisioned to be positioned as a vibrant city airport, a hub for business aviation and a complete aerospace ecosystem.

Graeme Duckworth, Executive Vice President MRO, Luxaviation Group, says: “We selected Subang Airport as our South East Asia hub for all MRO activities due to its centralised location, high traffic and ease of doing business. The existing facility attracts clients from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia and China and by expanding our presence, we will be able to offer an even greater service to a larger number of clients. As part of the Luxaviation Group, ExecuJet is committed to providing universal service excellence and we are looking forward to building on the outstanding reputation we have established in the region.”

Azli Mohamed, chief strategy officer of Malaysia Airports, comments: “The Subang Airport Regeneration initiative is an exciting endeavour and we are delighted to be able to increase ExecuJet’s MRO presence in the South East Asia region as a result. The development will enable the growth of business aviation activities, establishing a global hub that is vital for innovation and economic growth.”

ExecuJet has 12 MRO facilities located around the world and is able to service major manufacturers and suppliers, including Bombardier, Embraer, Gulfstream, Dassault, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, Rolls Royce and General Electric, amongst others.
