Official Opening of AIM Aviation's New Facility in Byfleet

AIM Aviation last week held the official opening of its new manufacturing facility in Byfleet, Surrey.

The major factory extension creates an additional 31,000 square feet of state-of-the-art production and testing facilities for leading designer and manufacturer of custom aircraft interiors, AIM Aviation.

Wayne Ball, Managing Director of AIM Aviation’s galleys and stowages business, which operates from Byfleet, commenced proceedings. Mark Edwards, CEO of AIM Aviation, gave a short address before handing over to the Rt Hon Jonathan Lord, MP for Woking district, for the formal opening of the new facility. Other distinguished guests included Councillor Tony Branagan, Mayor of Woking.

To add some light-hearted entertainment to the day, the staff and guests were surprised with an appearance by multi-award-winning Elvis impersonator, Peter Storm.

Wayne Ball said: “We are excited to be able to officially open the new factory and are looking forward to using this modern, purpose-built facility. The additional space will support the current and future growth of the company and will allow AIM Aviation to maintain its position as a world-class design and manufacturing operation. We will now be able to further enhance the products and services we provide to our airline customers.”
