SHANGHAI, Jan. 29, 2014 – Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Co., Ltd., (Boeing Shanghai) today announced the signing of 767 heavy maintenance agreements with Air Astana and Rossiya Airlines. The airlines, based in Kazakhstan and Russia, respectively, are new customers for Boeing Shanghai.
Boeing Shanghai will conduct two 767 C-checks for Air Astana and three 767 C-checks for Rossiya Airlines at Boeing Shanghai’s facility at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Work began this month. A C-check is an extensive check of the airplane’s systems and components, generally requiring several days.

Established in 1934, Rossiya Airlines is one of the biggest Russian airlines and the leading air carrier in the North-Western region of the Russian Federation. The airline operates scheduled and charter passenger flights from St. Petersburg. It operates three 767-300ERs.

Air Astana is the flag carrier of the Republic of Kazakhstan, based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It operates scheduled domestic and international services on 63 routes. The airline currently operates four 767-300ERs and five 757-200s.
