Iberia Maintenance at Paris Air Show

For the sixth consecutive year, Iberia Maintenance will have a stand at the Paris Air Show; José Luis Quirós, technical manager of Iberia's Maintenance and Engineering division will be attending, along with sales and marketing staff.

For the sixth consecutive year, Iberia Maintenance will have a stand at the Paris Air Show, to be held from on 17th -23rd June at Le Bourget airport near the French capital.

Located on Hall 1 of the Spanish Pavilion, the stand will be attended by José Luis Quirós, technical manager of Iberia’s Maintenance and Engineering division, along with sales and marketing staff.

The Paris Air Show is one of the most important annual events of its kind, and is well attended by airlines, maintenance centres, and a variety of companies associated with the aviation industry.

Iberia Maintenance services the Iberia fleet and those of nearly 100 clients form all over the world, including Cathay Pacific, British Airways, DHL, SAS, Continental Airlines, Vueling, Iberia Express, Air Nostrum, Lan Chile, Meridiana Fly, Qatar Airways, Avianca, AJ Walter Aviation, Conviasa, Atlasjet, Heico, Blue Dart Aviation, China Airlines, General Electric Aviation, Rolls Royce, Sri Lankan Airlines, SR Technics, Snecma Services, and Xiamen Airlines.

Iberia Maintenance has recently invested large sums in developing a new aviation engine turbine blade workshop (HPCBS),, using laser welding technology. It also installed a vertical crankcase rectifier (HSVG),   a water spraying machine (HPWS), and new valve tolerance monitoring equipment (HPTCCV, LPTACCV, RACCV, TDV, TCCV). The division has introduced Paperless workshop procedures, in which only portable wireless devices are used around the aircraft for consulting manuals and documentation. Iberia Maintenance continues to work with Airbus Military on its Multi Role Tanker Transport project.

Iberia Maintenance is the world’s ninth largest aircraft maintenance operator andSpain’s largest in terms of turnover, staff, high technology, and aircraft modification. In 2012 it carried our 85 C and D checks on aircraft, plus 215 inspections and overhauls of engines, 30 of APUs and 35 of landing gear. It also inspected more than 57,000 components, and painted 28 aircraft.
