Media Trolley: 48 Tablets in One Go!

Lufthansa Technik AG is unveiling the "Media Trolley" as an integrated solution for the storage and charging of Tablet PCs at the Aircraft Interior Expo in Hamburg. Up to 48 of the practical online devices can be kept together, distributed easily on board and recharged again after use as a complete set.

These days flight attendants in VIP or airline aircraft are almost as used to their passengers having Tablet PCs for their personal use as they are to serving meals and drinks. This now applies to provision of the devices. The Tablets can be stored as easily as meals in modified trolleys and transported in the aircraft. Once collected in again, the Tablet PCs are all recharged for the next flight in the Media Trolley - fire protection system and fire extinguishing equipment included. Media Trolleys are no different to handle from normal catering trolleys.

And if there is not enough space for a normal trolley, the system is also available in a standard half-size catering trolley format. This version has space and services for 24 Tablets. It makes no difference here which brand of Tablet PC the operator has selected.
