Miami International Airport will welcome international carrier Thomas Cook Airlines in May 2015 with passenger service between MIA and Manchester, England. Located in England’s North West region, Manchester is known for its top-flight soccer clubs, live music scene, and major transportation hubs, as well as for its rich history. The new service to Manchester will mark MIA’s 17h destination in Europe and its second destination in the United Kingdom.
Thomas Cook will launch nonstop flights between Miami and Manchester in May 2015 utilizing Airbus A330-200 aircraft arranged in a 325-seat, two-class configuration. The twice-weekly flights will operate on Fridays and Sundays. Thomas Cook Airlines is part of the Thomas Cook group of airlines and travel products with subsidiary carriers in Belgium and Germany.
“We look forward to the launch of MIA-Manchester service next year on Thomas Cook Airlines,” said Miami-Dade Aviation Director Emilio T. González. “This new route provides another exciting travel option for our customers and demonstrates Miami’s continued growth as a destination and as an international gateway.”
Thomas Cook Airlines is the latest European carrier to make MIA part of their flight network plans this year, joining Jetairfly (April), Air Europa (May) and Finnair (December).
