Twin Commander Aircraft, type certificate holder of the full line of piston and turbine-powered Aero Commanders, welcomes industry veteran David Allison as its new technical service manager. Allison brings a wealth of maintenance management and engineering support to this critical role.

A former field representative for aerospace component manufacturers, and with a long history of airline line maintenance and maintenance management, Allison is uniquely qualified to serve Twin Commander owners, operators, and Authorized Service Centers. Allison comes most recently from United Airlines regional carrier GoJet Airlines, where he opened and ran the maintenance base in Greensboro, North Carolina.

As technical service manager for Twin Commander, Allison will be responsible for everything from answering maintenance questions from the field, to helping support parts development programs, working with operators to identify community needs, and interacting with the rest of the team at Twin Commander to continue building its industry leading parts inventory and support.

“I’m so excited to be a part of this team and see the industry from the perspective of a manufacturer,” Allison said. “I’ve been heavily involved in safety compliance, maintenance management, and parts stores, but supporting operators from this perspective is a wonderful and exciting opportunity.”

“We’re happy to welcome Dave to the team, and we’re excited to see how he can improve on our already high level of service,” said Business Unit Director Derek Ashcroft. “At Ontic, supporting legacy airframes is our focus, and having the right people on board is critical to our success.”
