Experimental Aircraft Association to Host Virtual Santa Fly-In Dec. 6

Nov. 23, 2020

Nov. 20—Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) 1093 will host a virtual Santa Fly-In on Sunday, Dec. 6.

Beginning at 10 a.m. Santa's flight into Barstow via airplane will be livestreamed on Facebook Live. Santa and Mrs. Claus will then have a message for area children before loading up letters collected at the airport for Santa and heading back to the North Pole.

Starting on Saturday, Nov. 28, free goodie bags will be available in Barstow's terminal for local children. These bags will include a candy cane, the traditional wooden airplane ornament, and a simple at-home craft. There will also be a place to drop off letters for Santa in the terminal.

Please adhere to all current safety precautions when entering the terminal building including wearing a mask, maintaining six feet of distance between persons and limiting the number of people in the terminal at one time to six. When available, airport staff would be happy to bring a bag out to people's cars in the parking lot as well. Call the terminal office at 989-835-3231. — Processed by Victoria Ritter, [email protected]
