Passenger Plane Crashes at Yolo County Airport, Sheriff's Office Says

A passenger plane crashed at Yolo County Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

Sgt. Juan Ceja of the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office said the single-engine plane, which was only occupied by its pilot, flipped over while landing just before 4 p.m.

The pilot sufferred minor injuries, Ceja said.

In a news release, the West Plainfield Fire Department said the pilot was helped out of the overturned plane and taken to a hospital for further evaluation.

“It’s a very small plane crash,” Ceja said.
