Lufthansa Technik recently announced that Harald Gloy is taking over as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lufthansa Technik AG, leading the company’s aircraft maintenance services for five years.

Gloy is succeeding Soeren Stark, with the change taking effect on February 1, 2027. The decision follows Stark’s decision to retire.

Having served as Accountable Manage and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Lufthansa Technik’s Executive Board since 2022, Gloy is positioned to lead global MRO operations while maintaining quality and reliability.

Gloy has also worked as a graduate engineer for Lufthansa Technik, taking on leadership roles in areas like:

• Aircraft overhaul
• Engine overhaul
• Components
• Logistics
• Corporate strategy

This expertise includes time on the Executive Boards of Lufthansa Technik and Lufthansa Cargo AG, including:

• COO of Lufthansa Cargo AG Executive Board (2019)
• Chief Human Resources Officer and Director of Labor Relations at Lufthansa Cargo AG (2021)

Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Technik AG Grazia Vittadini commented, “Harald Gloy combines deep knowledge of Lufthansa Technik with broad leadership experience across the Lufthansa Group.”

Lufthansa Technik also noted that a decision on Harald Gloy’s successor as COO on the Executive Board will be made as soon as possible.
