AAR Opens Miami Airframe MRO Expansion, Celebrates with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
AAR CORP. recently celebrated the opening of its Airframe MRO expansion in Miami, Florida.
The new expansion at Miami International Airport will have capacity for three heavy maintenance lines, with 100,000 square feet of additional space.
The company hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to honor the milestone, made possible by collaborating with:
- Miami International Airport
- Ryan Companies
- HPM
- Local, state and federal partners
AAR anticipates the new Miami airframe MRO facility to induct its first aircraft in the fall season of 2026.
Aside from growing AAR’s maintenance reach in the area, the facility will also open around 200 new skilled jobs to support the aviation workforce and the Miami-Dade County economy.
AAR’s Chairman, President and CEO John M. Holmes said, “The expansion of our Airframe MRO facility in Miami reflects both the strength of our operations and the confidence customers place in AAR to deliver quality and reliability.”
Holmes continued, “We are excited to continue growing alongside our airline customers while enhancing our ability to meet their evolving maintenance needs.”

“This significant investment will strengthen South Florida’s position as a global leader by creating 200 full-time jobs for Miami-Dade residents and bringing new economic opportunities to our community,” added Díaz-Balart.
