StandardAero’s COE for Turboprop Engine MRO Celebrates 20,000th Engine Induction

StandardAero’s Summerside facility is a Pratt & Whitney Canada authorized Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) for the PT6A turboprop engine, the PW100 turboprop engine and the JT15D turbofan engine.

StandardAero recently celebrated the 20,000th engine induction at its Center of Excellence (COE) for Turboprop Engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) in Summerside, PEI, Canada. 

StandardAero’s Summerside facility, located in Slemon Park, is a Pratt & Whitney Canada authorized Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) for the PT6A turboprop engine, the PW100 turboprop engine and the JT15D turbofan engine.

“The achievement of our 20,000th engine induction is a testament to the unwavering dedication and customer focus of our talented workforce,” commented Jeff Poirier, vice president and general manager of the Turboprops & Fleets (TPAF) Business Unit for StandardAero. 

“Since it first opened in 1991 with four employees, StandardAero’s Summerside facility has grown into a world-class MRO provider employing over 475 skilled technicians and service personnel, supporting customers worldwide from a 130,000-square-foot airside location.  Our reputation for service excellence is well-known across the industry, and we look forward to serving our customers with another 20,000 shop visits over the coming decades,” Poirier added.
