Georgia Tech Engineering Scholar Joins UTC CTO Leadership

United Technologies has brought on John-Paul Clarke, former College of Engineering Dean’s Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, as Vice President of Strategic Technologies.

 United Technologies has brought on John-Paul Clarke, former College of Engineering Dean’s Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, as Vice President of Strategic Technologies.

In his new leadership role, J.-P. will curate UTC’s strategic technology focus area roadmaps. He will also be responsible for the Additive Manufacturing Center of Expertise and the Model-Based Digital Thread Center of Expertise.

Clarke spent 13 years at Georgia Tech, with appointments in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and in the School of Aerospace Engineering. He also served as director of the Georgia Tech Air Transportation Laboratory. J.-P. holds multiple degrees from MIT, where he also worked as a professor in aeronautics and astronautics. He has also been a visiting scholar at Boeing, a member of the technical staff at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the co-founder of several consulting companies and technology start-ups.
