RAMM Aerospace Announces TCCA and FAA STC for AS350/355 Boarding Step
Saint-Laurent, Quebec— July 20, 2016 — RAMM Aerospace is proud to offer TCCA and FAA approved AS350/355 Boarding Steps for aircraft equipped with DART aka APICAL Emergency Cylindrical Floats.
RAMM Aerospace’s focus to develop, certify and manufacture solutions for unresolved needs in the industry is making a huge difference. Their lightweight aluminum constructed AS350/355 Boarding Steps mount to the landing gear at an ergonomical height to facilitate the entry and egress of passengers and crew, and they flip out of the way to allow floats to deploy normally.
“The initial requirement came from tour operators that had difficulty loading and unloading passengers because of the large gap between the ground and the existing float step. It was difficult for them to complete this simple task safely and efficiently. I am thrilled to offer the RAMM Boarding Steps as a solution to operators that have faced this challenge for years. This new Boarding Step makes entry and exit so much easier and safer,” remarks Peggy McDonald, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at RAMM Aerospace. “ The Boarding Step installs onto the landing gear so there is no modification to the aircraft. We also offer an optional Quick Release Kit allowing the Boarding Step to be removed and re-installed in minutes.”
The RAMM Boarding Step will improve entry and egress for all operators with AS350/355 aircraft on high gear with the popular DART aka APICAL Emergency Cylindrical Floats, whatever the mission.
