Passur Integrated Traffic Management Partners With JetBlue Airways
Passur Aerospace, Inc. announced that JetBlue Airways has contracted for Passur Integrated Traffic Management (PITM) for deployment at its system operations center and throughout its network.
According to a release, PITM is a web-hosted integrated business intelligence platform that targets key constraints through the entire lifecycle of a flight, to optimize fuel costs and emissions, schedule integrity, and the passenger experience.
Passur was selected as JetBlue's traffic management partner as a result of its capabilities and position in the marketplace, an evaluation of Passur's return on investment models, and following a thorough evaluation and study of the airline's flight operations requirements from a customer, financial, crewmember, and business process perspective.
"Passur is a critical partner in our strategic operating plan," said JetBlue's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Rob Maruster. "As we grow in size and complexity, particularly with our focus in the Northeast and its complicated airspace, we view operations business intelligence as a major opportunity to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and continue to deliver superior customer care. We believe Passur to be a leader in aviation operations business intelligence."
"JetBlue is known for its forward-thinking, innovative, and award-winning service, and we are pleased that they have selected Passur as their business intelligence partner to help solve operational challenges in an era of rising fuel costs, complex airspace, and demanding customer expectations," said Jim Barry, Passur's President and CEO.
PITM is a web-hosted integrated business intelligence platform that targets key constraints through the entire lifecycle of a flight, to optimize fuel costs and emissions, schedule integrity, and the passenger experience. PITM is built on several patented, and patent-pending Passur capabilities, including a proprietary network of radar surveillance systems installed throughout North America and internationally, integrated aviation databases with historical archives, predictive analytical algorithms, and decision support software. Passur's solutions enable airlines to predict arrival times more accurately, anticipate pending airport delays, manage congested airways, surface operations and irregular events more effectively, and coordinate with other aviation organizations to help to ensure smooth and predictable operations.
JetBlue is New York's Hometown Airline with other focus cities in Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, and Orlando.
Passur Aerospace, Inc. is a business intelligence company that provides predictive analytics built on proprietary algorithms and the concurrent integration and simultaneous mining of multiple databases.
