Blackhawk recently announced that the Pro Line Fusion Phase 4++ / Version 3.7 software is now approved as compatible with all King Air 350s and 360s with the Blackhawk XP67A Engine+ Upgrade.

The company recently completed validation testing at its Columbia, Missouri Performance Center in partnership with Collins Aerospace in order to confirm the compatibility.

The Pro Line Fusion Phase 4++ / Version 3.7 software upgrade adds advanced avionics capabilities to the compatible King Airs, such as:

  • Controller Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC)
  • Integrated Terrain Awareness Warning System (iTAWS)
  • Privacy ICAO Address (PIA)
  • Synthetic Vision System (SVS)
  • Touchscreen Flight Deck Controls

The XP67A upgrade gives more horsepower to King Air 350 aircraft than traditional baseline engines by using Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67A engines.

This offers benefits like:

  • Higher altitude climb
  • Faster cruise speeds up to 332 KTAS
  • Enhanced long-term engine durability
  • Improved fuel efficiency
  • Reduced operational costs

President of Blackhawk’s Proprietary Upgrades division Edwin Black said, “Blackhawk is laser-focused on delivering the latest safety technologies and performance enhancements for our customers, and the combination of the XP67A engines with Collins’ Pro Line Fusion avionics is a home run.”

Black continued, “We are honored to continue supporting the King Air community with a certification that brings significant value to more than 300 recently delivered King Air 350i and 360 owners and operators.”

Vice President of King Air Programs for the Blackhawk Performance Centers Conrad Theisen commented, “Thank you to Collins Aerospace for their continued collaboration and support.”

Theisen added, “We remain committed to supporting the King Air fleet while expanding support for Blackhawk’s XP67A upgrade on aircraft delivered with Fusion avionics.”

Collins Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney are RTX businesses.
