FEAM Aero, the largest leading provider of aircraft line maintenance services in the United States, is committed to helping narrow the gap of man-power shortages in the industry. This shortage is concerning. The workforce has still not returned to pre-Covid levels, and a significant portion is nearing retirement.

Earlier this year FEAM Aero partnered with Epic Flight Academy to establish an aviation maintenance program at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International (CVG) Airport. This program is designed to kickstart students' careers as aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs), providing a blend of classroom education and on the job experience within FEAM's hangars at the CVG Airport. The school is scheduled to open in 2024.

The company is further strengthening their commitment to the AMTs of tomorrow with a tuition reimbursement program for eligible participants in the inaugural class of Epic Flight Academy’s program at CVG Airport.

“The new school at CVG will create a pipeline of students to become aircraft mechanic technicians and help bridge the gap of any man-power shortages,” said Cam Murphy, President of FEAM Aero. “We want to be at the forefront and offer invaluable hands-on experience to all future AMTs. The opportunity to work on the various aircraft that enter our hangars will provide the foundational skills and knowledge for a great career.”

“Certification by the FAA takes approximately two years to complete,” continued Martin Fryer, VP & General Manager, CVG. “These technicians are an important part of our industry and FEAM Aero wants to lend as much support as we can to help build the AMT job market for years to come.”
