A former aircraft stripping hangar was renovated and now serves as a new, 12,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art paint hangar that will accommodate aircraft sized up to a Bombardier Global Express.

BATTLE CREEK, MICH. — Duncan Aviation recently completed a hangar renovation that allows additional paint capacity and more paint schedule flexibility for its full-service Battle Creek, Michigan, location.  A former aircraft stripping hangar was renovated and now serves as a new, 12,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art paint hangar that will accommodate aircraft sized up to a Bombardier Global Express. The hangar now has a computer-driven sidedraft airflow system that triple-filters the air and will allow aircraft to be stripped, painted, primed and striped in that hangar. It also has new, adjustable and energy-efficient LED lighting.  The renovation was managed by Tectonic Management Group with Duncan Aviation’s Battle Creek Facilities team coordinating between Tectonic, the BTL Paint Department and a plethora of contractors.  “The new hangar is a great addition to our paint services in Battle Creek,” says Doug Bohac, Duncan Aviation Paint Manager. “Customers will see some additional paint capacity and more flexible scheduling.”As a leader in paint services for business aviation, Duncan Aviation is capable of painting up to 100 aircraft per year at each of its Battle Creek and Lincoln, Nebraska, facilities.
