Center for Repair, Maintenance of Aircraft Engines to Open in Iran's Payam Airport

A center for repair and maintenance of aircraft engines will be established at Payam Airport and the special economic zone in the Alborz Province (western Iran) with the joint investment of the MAPNA Group and the airport, Executive Director of Payam Airport and Special Economic Zone Nader Sanagoo Motlaq said, Trend reports citing the airport’s website.

Sanagoo Motlaq emphasized that MAPNA Group will produce electronics equipment including batteries at Payam Airport and Special Economic Zone.

The director added that MAPNA Group will help to address the issue of investors and develop their activities in the special economic zone.

Currently, the special economic zone of Payam Airport in Iran carries out many activities including import, export and transit of products, provision of postal services and other operations.

MAPNA Group is a group of Iranian companies involved in development and execution of thermal and renewable power plants, oil and gas, railway transportation and other industrial projects. It also manufactures main equipment including gas and steam turbines, electrical generators, turbine blades and vanes, Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) and conventional boilers, electric and control systems, gas compressor, locomotive and other pertinent equipment.
