Serbia's Jat Tehnika to set up Airbus-certified training center

BELGRADE (Serbia), July 2 (SeeNews) - Serbian state-owned aircraft maintenance company Jat Tehnika said on Monday it is planning to set up a training center in partnership with aircraft manufacturer Airbus.

For the needs of Jat Tehnika alone, the joint Belgrade-based center is expected to train around 200 mechanics and 50 engineers over the next five years, the Serbian company said in a statement.

During the first phase of the project, Jat Tehnika's instructors will be certified under Airbus standards while the certification of the entire center should be happen during the second phase.

During the third phase, the center will evolve into a regional hub, providing training services to third parties.
