United States Air Force Chooses AAR for 463L Legacy Cargo Pallet Contracts
The United States Air Force (USAF) has awarded two pallet contracts worth around $450 million to AAR CORP. (AAR).
$160 million of the contract covers AAR’s repair services for the 463L Legacy Cargo Pallet, which should be completed by March 2031. This contract is a sole-source firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery requirements contract.
A separate sole-source requirements contract—valued at $290 million—stipulates that AAR is going to manufacture 463 legacy air cargo pallets by March 2032.
The USAF uses the 463L Pallet to transport cargo with the dual-rail cargo systems featured on military transport aircraft.
AAR’s Senior Vice President of Repair & Engineering Tom Hoferer said, “Government contracts are core to AAR’s diversified business model.”
Hoferer continued, “For decades, AAR has proudly met the pallet needs of the U.S. government, and these additional awards extend our services into 2032, bringing support and stability wherever they are needed worldwide.”
