Boeing secured $174 million in separate Navy and Air Force contracts, per a Pentagon notice released on Aug. 20.

The Navy deal includes the supply of up to 31 P-8A engine build-up kits — 18 for the Navy and 13 for Foreign Military Sales customers. Other engine components are also part of the $156 million agreement.

According to Boeing, the P-8 aircraft is used for anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, maritime domain awareness, and search and rescue.

Work will be performed in Tukwila, Washington and is expected to be completed in August 2031. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, issued the award.

A separate Air Force deal would pay Boeing $17.6 million to install an electronic warfare system in some F-15 fighter-jet training equipment for Japan’s military.

According to the U.S. Air Force, the F-15 “can penetrate enemy defense and outperform and outfight any current enemy aircraft.”

The agreement includes software development and testing, simulator software updates, and courseware development for aircrew and aircraft maintenance.

Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2031.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio awarded the contract.
