Pence Visiting NASA Langley and Hampton University on Wednesday
Vice President Mike Pence is in Hampton Roads on Wednesday visiting NASA Langely Research Center, Hampton University and Naval Air Station Oceana.
Air Force Two is scheduled to arrive Wednesday morning and first tour NASA Langley and talk to employees. Then, Pence is going to Hampton University’s Proton Therapy Institute, according to a news release from the vice president’s office.
Pence’s visit is timed to coincide with Black History Month, highlighting Hampton University’s cancer treatment program. A news release from the university said he is scheduled to participate in a roundtable discussion with students, staff and cancer survivors who were treated at the proton therapy institute.
He is later in the day scheduled to visit NAS Oceana, according to the vice president’s office.
