Vienna and Bratislava stand just 30 miles apart.

An Austrian low-cost airline has announced plans for what it claims is the world’s shortest international flight – a 30-mile hop from Vienna to Bratislava.

FlyNiki will launch the 10-minute service in April linking the Austrian and Slovakian capitals – a journey that can take as little as an hour by car, or even less by train.
