Aeroflot in talks with 10 partners over maintenance JV

Aeroflot Russian Airlines is currently in talks with 10 western companies in order to establish a joint venture on maintenance and repairs of aircraft, the airline's CEO Vitaly Savelyev told reporters today. Aeroflot and state-owned Russian Technologies Corporation plan to hold the majority stake in the proposed venture, he added. Aeroflot Board of Director Chairman Kirill Androsov said on June 23 that seven western partners have been short-listed and negotiations with them would be held before the end of August.
