ENP Newswire - 06 February 2012 Release date- 02022012 - Airbus has been chosen by AVEOS, a full-service maintenance, repair and overhaul provider headquartered in Montreal, to implement the 'Airbus Managed Inventory' service.

AMI will ensure the replenishment of Airbus proprietary parts at AVEOS' facilities, utilizing an automated inventory management system. The AMI service, which underlines Airbus' innovative strategy in offering customised services based on latest industry standards, captures material consumption information in real time and automatically triggers the replenishment process within the agreed inventory levels. 'This is the beginning of a new chapter in what will be a mutually beneficial relationship between AVEOS and Airbus,' said AVEOS' Vice President Supply Chain Management, Jean Clermont. 'AMI will automate our procurement process thus significantly reducing our indirect ordering costs, as well as reducing our inventory holding costs. The service will be applied across our facilities and will ultimately benefit our customers.'
