Plane Lands on Its Belly at Laredo International Airport

Oct. 24—A plane landed on its belly this weekend at the Laredo International Airport.

The Laredo Fire Department reported that the incident occurred on Saturday at approximately noon.

The LFD's Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Rescue Unit reported to the Laredo International Airport's runway 18L.

When arriving, the LFD assisted with an aircraft that landed on the runway on its belly.

The aircraft was small and was said to have only one passenger — its pilot.

The LFD said that the accident remains under investigation to figure out how the incident occurred.
