Maintenix software will be P&W's standardized aftermarket in-service support tool for commercial and military engine platforms.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- Mxi Technologies announce that Pratt & Whitney has selected the Maintenix software as the standardized aftermarket in-service support tool for all their engine platforms - commercial and military. The integrated system will support the expansion of Pratt & Whitney's business into power-by-the-hour contracts, providing a streamlined support environment through one vendor and one software tool.

With the role of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) shifting toward expanding service offerings into the after-sales market, there is increasingly greater emphasis on the collection of in-service data. This multi-year, phased project will streamline processes through a single, integrated IT solution, providing Pratt & Whitney with timely and accurate visibility into the status of all engines, leading to precise data and powerful planning & quoting tools. Adapting to Pratt & Whitney's global requirements, the Maintenix system will provide such functionality as an engine-centric dashboard, life limited parts (LLP) forecasting, and accurate utilization tracking, which will enable utilization based invoicing for customers.

"Mxi Technologies has a record of success in aftermarket support, and being selected by an industry leader such as Pratt & Whitney is a testament to that," says Les Hine, President of Mxi Technologies. "With the combined knowledge and expertise of the two companies, we can further develop technologies that will enable OEMs and their customers to work together, ultimately improving the quality and efficiency of aftermarket support processes."
