Twin Commander Names Engineering Manager

Terry Jones will be responsible for maintaining the airworthiness of the fleet.

Terry Jones, an experienced aerospace structural engineer, has been named engineering manager at Twin Commander Aircraft LLC.

Mr. Jones will be responsible for maintaining the airworthiness of the fleet through coordination with the FAA Aircraft Certification Office that has jurisdiction over Twin Commander Aircraft. He will also lead engineering efforts to develop new products to support the fleet and generate continued airworthiness documents including service bulletins and letters.

For the last five years Mr. Jones has specialized as a Materials Review Board liaison engineer for Northrop Grumman Corporation, PEMCO World Air Services and most recently, Vought Aircraft. Prior to that he spent seven years as a structural engineer at Dassault Falcon Jets base at Teterboro Airport, New Jersey, working on a variety of business jet repair and modification projects.

He has worked at Boeing Company in Seattle as a manufacturing engineering analyst and structural engineer, served as a maintenance manager at a specialized composite aircraft repair facility in Seattle, and has been an A&P instructor at Clover Park Technical College in Washington state.

Currently, Mr. Jones is completing a Master of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.

He will be based at Twin Commander’s new home in Creedmoor, North Carolina.
