Pratt & Whitney Canada's New Memphis Parts Distribution Centre Improves Service Levels for North American Engine Operators
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- (Marketwire - Oct. 19, 2010) - NBAA - Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is offering improved AOG (aircraft on ground) turn times, optimized shipping costs and increased service levels for its North American customers with the relocation of a warehouse for new spare parts and line replaceable units (LRU) from Muskegon, Mich. to Memphis, Tenn. Raffaele Virgili, Vice President, Customer Service, made the announcement at a media briefing held during the National Business Aviation Association's 63rd annual meeting and convention (NBAA) in Atlanta, Georgia. The Memphis Parts Distribution Centre, which opened in September, is operated by a leading logistics provider and will allow for P&WC customers to place parts orders until midnight EST for normal "next day" FedEx delivery, compared with the current 5 p.m. EST cut off time in the Muskegon location.
