Goodrich Corp. reported it has been selected by Mesa Air Group, Inc. to provide landing gear maintenance services for its fleet of Bombardier CRJ700 and CRJ900 aircraft.
The Company reported that the multi-year agreement will encompass all scheduled repair and overhaul services including the use of Goodrich-owned rotable landing gear assets.
Goodrich said that it is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Bombardier CRJ700 and CRJ900 landing gear. It is also a landing gear overhaul maintenance supplier. Mike Secord, VP of aftermarket for Goodrich's Landing Gear business said, "We are pleased to be selected as the value service provider for Mesa's CRJ700/900 landing gear maintenance needs. Goodrich recognizes Mesa as an important, strategic customer and is committed to support Mesa's continued growth and success."
Scott Johnson, director of purchasing at Mesa Airlines said, "Goodrich has been a valuable partner in enhancing our overhaul and maintenance services during the past year. We are pleased to enter an agreement with Goodrich that allows OEM level support for this critical program."
The Company noted that Mesa currently operates 77 aircraft with over 453 daily system departures to 95 cities, 35 states, Canada, Mexico and the District of Columbia. Mesa operates as US Airways Express and United Express under contractual agreements with US Airways and United Airlines, respectively, and independently as go! Mokulele. Mesa, founded by Larry and Janie Risley in New Mexico in 1982, has approximately 2,800 employees.
