British Airways canceled 28 flights Friday because of a power failure at London's Heathrow Airport, causing disruption for at least 1,000 passengers.
The airline canceled 14 return flights from Heathrow to European destinations including Paris, Brussels and Geneva after the power failure at the airport's Terminal 4, BA spokeswoman Laura Goodes said.
The power outage meant aircraft could not be refueled, Goodes added. She did not have an exact figure for the number of passengers affected, but said it was at least 1,000.
All the passengers were being rebooked on other flights, Goodes said.
