AirTran Restoring Boston Service

Daily service to Indianapolis, which disappeared after the winter season, will resume on Nov. 15.

AirTran has plans to restore most of the service from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport that was reduced after the winter season, including Saturday flights to Boston.

The Boston and New York service that was announced a year ago did not pan out and were quickly reduced.

The airport said Tuesday that AirTran's nonstop flights to Logan International Airport will resume Feb. 17 and operate on Saturdays only through April 14.

AirTran previously announced that it would offer a second flight to Chicago's Midway International Airport starting Nov. 5.

Daily service to Indianapolis, which disappeared after the winter season, will resume on Nov. 15.

Daily service to Detroit will begin Dec. 5.

One more reduction came into effect in September, when AirTran cut the service to Baltimore-Washington International to Saturdays only. Daily flights will resume on Oct. 4.

Atlanta service will expand from three daily flights to four on Nov. 7.
