Bombardier has announced that at the 60th National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Annual Meeting and Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, 25-27 September, it is to emphasise its commitment to business aircraft innovation and corporate responsibility.

The company said that seven aircraft from its Learjet, Challenger and Global business jet line-up, the largest product offering of any Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), will be showcased at the company's expanded static display.

In addition the airline announced that, effective 1 February 2008, new aircraft buyers will have the option to take part in a carbon offset programme managed by UK-based Climate Care. The cost to offset one years average carbon emissions from the aircraft will reportedly be included in the aircraft purchase price.

The funds will be invested through Climate Care in green energy projects to reduce an equivalent amount of carbon, the carrier said.
